The mission Committee actively participates in the mission of  the United Methodist Church which is to make disciples of all the world for Christ.

Our meeting time is the first Wednesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. at the church.  You are invited to join with us.

 

Some of our ongoing activities include the following projects where the proceeds are used for various mission projects:

Souper-Bowl Sunday—sell soup to take home to eat during the super bowl game

Pie Sale in June

Produce sale—Farmer’s Market for missions

bullet

Blanket and Tools of Hope Sunday—tools and blankets used around the world and U.S.

bullet

Almost Antique booth at UMW bazaar

bullet

Alternative Christmas Giving—give a monetary gift to a worthy cause in honor of someone rather than giving lots of unneeded gifts.

Mile of Pennies—money is collected weekly

 

In addition we have a Covenant Relationship with Carol Sekel—missionary to Latvia  where she works to make disciples for the Lord

 

We knit sweaters for children here and abroad—distributed through Guideposts
